Who this guide is for

  • Second shooters working alongside a lead
  • Newer wedding videographers who second-guess their settings
  • Sony a7 IV and FX3 shooters: every setting tested on both cameras

Why I made this

We're a two-person wedding video team in Miami. One of us is the expert. The other one, me, wasn't. I spent hours on YouTube and forums learning how to get the perfect shot, then kept it all as mental notes. On a wedding day, that meant second-guessing everything: Are my settings right? Did I get the shot? So I stopped relying on memory and wrote it all down, from the night-before checklist to every scene on the day, tested on the Sony a7 IV and FX3. Over the last couple of years, this field guide has made me a far better videographer. Now it's yours: open it, find your scene, dial it in, and stop overthinking.
